With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Ann Letourneau is an accomplished plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic procedures. A citizen of both the United States and Canada, she is licensed to practice in New York State and Quebec.
Dr. Letourneau holds undergraduate and medical degrees from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. As an undergraduate, she was a faculty scholar and won the McConnell Award, a biology scholarship. She spent her general surgical residency at McGill and completed her plastic surgery residency at Albany Medical College in New York. There she had the opportunity to study cleft lip and palate surgery with Medical Group Missions in the Dominican Republic. She also earned a fellowship to study plastic surgery and breast reconstruction at the Stony Brook University Hospital in New York State.
Prior to her current appointments, Dr. Letourneau served as a clinical instructor the Northport VA Medical Center as well as an assistant professor of surgery at the Stony Brook University Hospital. Her teaching expertise includes general surgery.
An expert in the field of otorhinolaryngology, she has co-authored two articles published in the journals Plastic Reconstructive Surgery and the Annals of Plastic Surgery. She is currently working on a paper about anatomical nasal obstructions, a topic on which she has given presentations at conferences for the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Association of Plastic Surgeons.
With an office in Port Jefferson, New York, she holds appointments at four area hospitals, including the John T. Mather Memorial Hospital, St. Charles Hospital, St. Catherine of Sienna Hospital, and the Suffolk Surgery Center.
